Looks like we have a love connection ❄️???????? . I'm getting lots of questions about these guys. I'll try to answer them with each post of the birds. Parrotlets are very complex little creatures. They can go from being all sweet and preening each other, straight into a squabble and trying to bite each other's toes off. Right now, it's a lot of work refereeing the three when they are out. They do seem to learn quickly and are responding to my training and fighting a lot less. I've been asked why I don't get a fourth bird. Well, for one, I have my hands full and no room for yet another big cage, but more importantly, there is no guarantee that another bird would bond with River as parrotlets are aggressive little things. Fortunately, Sprig seems to enjoy spending time with both Winter and River... and River is also bonding with my daughter, Olivia. Winter in the meantime, is staying strongly bonded to both me and my husband even with her love connection to Sprig. I have no idea how things will be when the birds hit puberty but we'll do our best to keep everyone happy ???? I'll talk about what is in their fresh meals on my next Parrotlet post ???????? #aboutmybirds
