Luba Rizova
Head of News and Current Affairs, bTV Media Group
Luba Rizova is part of bTV’s team ever since the launch of the station in 2000, when she took the position of Editor-in-Chief of the News and Current Affairs Programs. After bTV’s acquisition by CME in 2010 she is appointed as Head of News and Current Affairs of bTV Media Group, responsible for the results of the news departments of bTV and bTV Action.
She is a proven professional with broad expertise in creating highly rated by the audience news and current affairs programs. Her knowledge and competence underlie the indisputable recognition of bTV News as the most professional and trusted newscasts, attracting the greatest number of viewers every day for 12 consecutive years.
Before joining bTV she worked for the Bulgarian National Radio and Nova TV. Since 2000 Luba Rizova is a member of the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA). Since 2001 she is a Member of the Board of the Access to Information Program, working for the enforcement of the laws on freedom of information. She is also author of several documentary films.
She has graduated from the Sofia University, Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications, and specialized in TV Journalism in the USA.
