Vasil Dimitrov

Vassil Dimitrov is in the radio business since 1994, when as a co-owner and General Manager he started one of the first private radio stations in Bulgaria – CLASSIC FM. In 2001 he launched JAZZ FM radio, and in 2006/2007 as General Manager of Radiocompany CJ he added to the portfolio of the radio group 3 new brands – N-JOY, Z-ROCK and MELODY. Vassil Dimitrov is a proven professional with vision for radio business development, demonstrated by his success in leading the five radios stations to the top positions on the market in a short period of time.
After the acquisition of Radiocompany CJ by CME in 2010 he is appointed as Head of Radio of bTV Media Group, responsible for the results of all CME radio stations in Bulgaria – bTV Radio, N-Joy, Z-Rock, Melody, Jazz FM and Classic FM.
His career started in 1992 in Kres advertising agency as Media Director. He is founder and board member of the Association of the Bulgarian Broadcasters (ABBRO) since 1997.
In 1991 he graduated from the National Music Academy in Sofia as Opera and Orchestra Conductor and Percussions. In 1994 he specialized in marketing and advertising in MARCOM – Sofia and in 1997 - in radio management in Washington DC.
