bTV News and Current Affairs Shows with Stronger Presence in October Top 50

bTV’s primetime shows and news and current affairs programs won the interest of the greatest number of viewers in October, according to GARB* data. bTV’s all day share has increased to 38% of all viewers, the second most watched TV, Nova, reports 18% share and BNT1 – 7% share.

Four news programs – bTV News at 7 pm, bTV Reporters, Face to Face and 120 Minutes – are in the top 10 last month, reaffirming bTV’s position as the most preferred and trusted information source. The central newscast of the leading TV channel has attracted more than 1 million viewers on average in October, followed by bTV News at 5 pm and 11,30 pm among the newscasts.

Part of Top 50 is also This Morning, which launched the next edition of its landmark Week 0f Spirit in the last days of the month, and increased its average audience share to 48,5%. Part of the best-performance TV chart for October are also the top weekend morning show This Saturday and Sunday (both editions), the most watched daily talk show on workdays Before Noon and the Saturday CoolT.

This fall’s entertainment hit The Farm retains its impressive performance, with an average of more than 1 million viewers and nearly 42% share of all people in front of the TV screen in October. bTV’s key primetime project tops the charts among the viewers aged 18-34 (38,4% share) and 18-49 (36,3% share).

With regard to fiction content, the number one program in the Top 50 last month is the series with Kivanc Tatlitig in the lead - Brave and Beautiful. Dear Heirs remains the most watched Bulgarian series, reporting much better results for All4+ at 6 pm on workdays than the key primetime productions of the second most watched channel.

Among the local productions with the greatest number of viewers in October are also Slavi’s Show, Paparazzi, Karbovski: Second Plan, Food Hunters, Wanted and Marmalade.

The strong performance of bTV’s content on TV last month was also reflected online, in the entirely redesigned and enhanced catch-up video platform btvplus.bg where all episodes can we watched for free up to 7 days after broadcasting. Since the beginning of the year the number of unique video views on the platform has increased to nearly 6 900 000. For October 2018 btvplus.bg reports 3 times more unique video views compared to October 2017.
