bTV Remains the Strongest Bulgarian Brand

At the initiative of the world organization Superbrands, for yet another year, an independent survey was conducted regarding the consumer segment in our country

bTV retains its leading position among Bulgarian consumer brands, while the global online search engine Google is the strongest consumer brand in the country, Superbrands Bulgaria reported, referring to the results of the independent consumer segment survey in Bulgaria. It was conducted for the seventh time.

Only one Bulgarian brand - Devin - is in the prestigious Top 20 ranking, which also includes for the first time Lidl, Lavazza, Shell and Viber.

Some of the past leaders in the different categories and sectors have retained their leading positions, but others show movement: BMW overtook Mercedes-Benz among the car companies, Lidl entered the prestigious Top 20 rankings for the first time and is at the top of the "Commercial chains" category, DZI returned to the first position in the insurance sector, Nescafé relinquished its leadership position to Lavazza, and the most preferred airline is Lufthansa.

The methodology for selecting and evaluating brands is universal for all countries implementing the Superbrands program. The selective process takes place in two stages: through the confidential vote of the members of the independent expert jury - Superbrands Bulgaria Board - and through national online voting by consumers. This allows expert opinion to be considered in parallel with consumer opinion. Members of the board do not receive material remuneration, they do not rate any brand they are associated with, or the brands of their competitors.

A partner of Superbrands in conducting the national consumer vote online is the leading market research institute GfK Bulgaria.

In the evaluation process, experts and consumers are guided by the definition and criteria of the global organization for Superbrands:

Superbrand is a brand that has built an excellent reputation in its sector and offers significant material and emotional advantages to its competitors. These benefits, knowingly or unknowingly, are acknowledged and demanded by consumers. Superbrand must demonstrate:

Quality: Does the brand symbolize the quality of the products or services offered?

Reliability: Is the brand trusted, does it maintain a high standard of products or services?

Difference: Is the brand well known in its sector? Is it successfully differentiated from its competitors? Does it possess individuality and values ​​that make it unique in the market?

The global organization Superbrands grants qualified brands the right to participate in the official publication for Bulgaria for 2019/2020 and to use the official Superbrands symbol in their marketing and public communications to demonstrate to consumers and partners the high recognition for their excellent branding.

Participation in the Superbrands promotional program is only at the invitation of the organization.

The nominated brands were positioned for evaluation by sector in 27 consumer segment categories on the Bulgarian market.
