The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent.

Your goal on this position is to provide leadership and coordination of all Human Resources related activities and to deliver proactive and business focused HR support and service in compliance with the local legislation.

You will be responsible:

  • To manage competing & complex daily priorities
  • To work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Analyse trends & metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective business partners
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Manage & resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Identify training needs, participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in Human resources
  • Proven experience with the local labour law and procedures
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes & procedures
  • A Can-Do attitude
  • Excellent command of the English language - both written and spoken
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written, are essential This position involves significant interpersonal communication both internally and externally at a variety of levels
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills required, with the ability to balance multiple demands
  • A focus on delivering business outcomes through making best use of the whole HR function and acting as a strong role-model for the rest of the team
  • Confidence to have a strong point of view and express it even if it proves unpopular
  • Awareness of changes within the media industry
  • Belief in the value of the HR function
