bTV won six awards in Dir.bg's Web Report 2025 competition

For the eighth consecutive year, the news portal presented the awards for clean journalism in the Web Report 2025 competition. A jury of established media personalities, including Svetoslav Ivanov, the host of "120 Minutes," selected the winners in 13 different categories.
This year, bTV received a total of six awards in the Web Report competition.
Investigative journalist Marin Nikolov received the Green Pen Award for his investigation, "Bulgaria's Golden Dry Reservoirs," which reports on the questionable reinforcement of hundreds of facilities with state funds. Nikolov received another award in the “Economy” category for his piece on the Hemus motorway.
Sports journalist and bTV Sport presenter Ilia Iliev received an honorary certificate in the “Sports” category for his emotional interview with track and field athlete Alexandra Nacheva: “To Hell and Back: Alexandra Nacheva's Confession.”
The host of This Saturday and Sunday, Mityo Marinov, was honored in the “True Stories” category for his report on youth aggression in shopping malls. "My Most Brutal Case: I Hit a Woman with a Shovel: How Two Boys Paid for Their Aggression.”
Vladislava Trichkova, a crime reporter, was honored in the “Video Report” category for her piece, “Kochani: The 'DNA' of Tragedy,” which traced the causes and consequences of a tragic incident in North Macedonia.
Tsvetana Balabanova, an international editor and reporter, received recognition in the “Hot Spot” category for her report from Ukraine, “After Three Years of War: Ukraine is the most mined country in the world."
