TotalEnergies 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which was to take place last summer, promises to captivate football fans now. The start of the 33rd edition of the tournament will be given in Cameroon on January 9, and the final is on February 6, 2022.

In the agreement, brokered by the AGON, more than 40 of the 52 matches in the tournament will be broadcast live on RING and the rest will be recorded, ensuring broad coverage of the competition and strong promotion for African football. The main hours of the football clashes between the contenders for the Cup are 18:00 and 21:00. Several early meetings are also planned from 15:00. Viewers will be able to watch all the matches directly on the platform VOYO.BG.

The first match of the competition, in which 24 teams will participate, is between the host Cameroon and Burkina Faso on January 9 at 18:00 and will be broadcast live on RING.

The interest in the clashes on the African continent has traditionally been huge. A remarkable number of stars from all the top European championships represent their countries during the TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations. This undoubtedly makes the tournament one of the most discussed by fans and the media at the moment. How football celebrities will perform in their native Africa, how much their club teams will be missing in the title fight in the championships that are being held in Europe at the same time - are just some of the questions that viewers have yet to answer.

A total of 16 Premier League clubs will lose at least one player who joins the TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations. The earliest possible return of a player for each club is January 20, when the group stage ends.

Among the biggest stars of the championship in Africa are: Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Sadio Mane (Senegal), Nabi Keita (Guinea), Pierre-Emerick Obamayang (Gabon), Edouard Mendy (Senegal), Riad Marez (Algeria) and others.

Mohamed Salah is Egypt's big hope to lead the team to the title in the race, which the "Pharaohs" won in 2010. The striker is in top form, having scored 22 goals for Liverpool since the beginning of the season. His partner in the Merseyside attack - Sadio Mane, is eager for a rematch, as with Senegal they lost the final in 2019 to Riyad Marez and Algeria.

How will the situation develop with Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire and Morocco, considered favorites to win the Cup - viewers will be able to follow on RING and VOYO.BG from January 9 to February 6, 2022.
