CME In Cross Border Cooperation With Leading European Broadcasters To Scale Up Total Video

bTV Media Group’s majority owner together with the other members of the European Media Alliance (EMA) to address changing media landscape at large scale and to cooperate in the strategic areas of streaming, technology and monetization

bTV Media Group, as part of CME, is collaborating with Europe's top Broadcasters in strategic directions - streaming, technology and monetization to respond to progressive development and rising expectations of the media landscape.

The European Media Alliance currently covers more than 200 million households, reaching 550 million inhabitants.

EMA serves as a common platform for launching collaborative initiatives in video streaming, technology and monetization. Scale and transformational impact are key criteria for prioritizing joint initiatives. United in their vision of actively shaping the European media industry, EMA members are striving to improve the digital transformation of entertainment businesses across Europe.

EMA CEOs decided to collaborate on industry-wide challenges to improve advertising capabilities in order to gain benefits for both advertisers and broadcasters.

The summit, hosted by Theodore Kyriakou (Antenna Group), was attended by Christoph Mainusch (Central European Media Enterprises) and the CEOs of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE (GAS), Channel 4 (UK), TF1 (France), Mediaset (Italy), and Impresa (Portugal).

United by similar targets and inspired by joint challenges in the media environment, the combined power of the leading European broadcasters enables cross-border cooperation.

Building on existing initiatives, the EMA leaders decided to consolidate agreements and understandings by setting up a joint governance to create a unified measurement currency across video inventories and to enable addressable TV across partner markets. EMA shares the vision that joining forces at a European level and implementing shared initiatives in multiple countries offers a unique opportunity to exponentially increase the speed of digital transformation.
