Before Noon Provides a Therapy for an Addicted Person in the New Season of Non/Dependent
The exciting series returns to bTV’s talk show this spring
The team of Before Noon is looking for a new hero who is ready to take life in his hands and get free of the clutches of addiction. In the new season of Non/Dependent, one person will receive a therapy completely free of charge in one of the best addiction treatment programs in Bulgaria.
After the strong public response and high viewership interest last summer, the series returns for the second season on bTV, and this time it will cover the whole process of initiating therapy and rehabilitating an addicted person.
"I turn to the relatives of the addicts because you know that is the key. I don't believe there are addicts who would seek help themselves – they lack the strength and the courage. Let the parents, the friends, the relatives of the addicts see this chance and use it now to help their loved ones," appealed the author of the series Ralitsa Stefanova.
In the first season that was broadcast last summer on bTV, Non/Dependent shared the stories of 12 people who have overcome their addiction and are currently enjoying a happy and normal life. They and their families touched hundreds of thousands of viewers and served as an example and inspiration for many struggling with addiction.
Apart from telling extremely powerful and positive stories, the series also has a strong effect on raising the audience’s awareness about addiction problems - complicated relationships in families, lack of adequate government policy and funding for treatment, the social stigma faced by the victims of addiction, etc.
