After a long absence of children's titles in local cinema in the past years, bTV presents the Bulgarian live-action children's film The Curie Case on September 15th at 2 pm. This is the newest project of the director Andrey Hadjivasilev. The film is supported by the National Film Center and its producer is Plamen Yordanov.

The Curie Case is a fun and enticing contemporary comedy suitable for the whole family.

It tells the story of Tony, who is inquisitive and interested in science, dreaming to become a great scientist one day. His kid's room resembles a lab, and he has named his lab mouse after the woman who discovered radiation – Marie Curie. Though he is only 8, Tony will appear at the National Science Festival with his experiment.

His neighbor, Raya, also 8 years old, is studying at the ballet school and instead of studious, she is rather naughty and mischievous. She often prevents Tony from concentrating and conducting his scientific experiments, and is also friends with the upperclassman and school bully Stefan. Raya wants to help Stefan pass a math exam, but Tony refuses to cooperate, which is why Marie Curie is kidnapped. To get her back, Tony has to face new challenges. The ballet performance of the school is spectacularly ruined, but a new friendship is born instead.

The script is written by Sabina Ivanova and Plamena Velkovski, with the help of Kiril Orlov, Anna Damyanova and Veni Petrova. The film is realized by the long-time creative team of the director Andrei Hadjivasilev - the operator Bojidar Simeonov, the artist-scenographer Hristina Dyakova and the composer Georgi Strezov.
