Radio Jazz FM, part of the bTV Radio Group’s portfolio, together with the National Palace of Culture, organized on 4th of September a meeting with the Bulgarian jazz master Leni Valkova, celebrating her 91st birthday with a concert-talk about the Bulgarian jazz scene. The soloist of the first professional jazz orchestra - Jazz Ovcharov, of The Jazz of Optimists and The Jazz of the Young, of the orchestra conducted by Boris Simeonov in the Bulgaria Hall, of Dimitar Ganev's orchestra, who toured and recorded with many other conductors and ensembles, Leni Valkova is the queen of Bulgarian jazz. She's been singing since childhood and continues to this day. Shortly after she turned 91, the Bulgarian singer living in London for more than 30 years met her colleagues and fans in Bulgaria on September 4th at 7 pm in the Peroto literature club. She told about her life, full of music and beauty, and performed favorite songs with Konstantin Vladigerov on the piano.
