Jazz FM turned “Chitalyanta” into a Pavilion for Music and Books. Sofia's favorite reading place will once again be transformed into a mobile radio studio for the second time! In the beginning of 2020 the only radio in Bulgaria, which broadcasts the best of jazz, soul, funk and blues, will again broadcast its morning program from the familiar place in the inviting atmosphere of music and books.
In the previous edition of the Pavilion for Music and Books, Jazz FM radio welcomed a number of guests including musicians, writers and artists such as Teodora Dimova, Oratnitsa, Orlin Goranov, Zahari Karabashliev, Desi Tileva and others. They shared who their favorite authors were, what the soundtrack of their favorite piece would be, and why books have the power to change the world.
Jazz FM's first ever radio studio in the center of the capital was dedicated to the case "Let's collect 2019 new books for libraries by the end of the year". In a period of one week the radio have succeeded to fulfill its goal and send all over the country new children's books (fairy tales, encyclopedias, children's and teen novels, comics and other children's favorite texts), contemporary Bulgarian literature and new books published in the last 10 years.
Within the week, at the Pavilion, anyone could donate a book, and in return for their kindness, to receive gifts from Jazz FM, “Chitalyanta” and Costa Coffee. Out of love for music, books and real coffee, the radio will repeat its initiative in 2020 as well.
