The Voice of Bulgaria Was the Number 1 TV Show in March with over 50% of All Viewers

bTV’s Primetime News and Entertainment Content Faced No Competition Last Month as Well

The Voice of Bulgaria topped the chart of the 50 most watched TV programs in March, with the impressive 1,38 million viewers and 50% of the entire audience on average, according to GARB* data. It was the number one show also among the viewers aged 18-34 and 18-49. The success of bTV’s genre diversity was reflected in the top positions of the ranking, where the series Mother and bTV Reporters occupied the 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, and all bTV primetime news and entertainment programs were among the top 10.

In addition to The Voice of Bulgaria, Home Makeover, The Comedians and Friends, Wife Swap, MasterChef Bulgaria and Capital Hillbillies also attracted the greatest number of viewers in their timeslots in March.

In terms of news and current affairs content, bTV again faced no competition. The information leader and most trusted news source – bTV News at 7 pm – attracted nearly 1 million viewers on average, followed in the chart by bTV News at 5 pm, at noon and at 23,30.

The top current affairs programs in March were 120 Minutes, Face to Face and the Sunday edition of This Saturday and Sunday.

The weekday morning information leader This Morning attracted even more viewers in March than in the previous month – over 520 000 on average, and nearly 52% of the entire TV audience. Half of all viewers placed their preference also with Before Noon, which was also among the most watched 50 programs for last month.

Among the most watched local programs broadcast on bTV in March were also Paparazzi, Slavi’s Show, Karbovski: Second Plan, Marmalade, A la Minute, and others.

bTV increased its share to 36% of the entire audience last month.
